Cecilia Dohm – Choreography
Warrenton native Cecilia Dohm brings us her on-stage performance and choreography experience that spans the globe (Uruguay, Spain, U.S.). With a B.A. in Global Studies and a minor in dance performance from The College of William and Mary, Cecilia , Ceci, is familiar with renowned performance centers all along the East Coast, such as several in New York City and The Kennedy Center in D.C. She has trained with the American Ballet Theatre Company, served as student assistant to faculty at The Julliard School, and performed with the San Francisco Ballet.
In 2012 Ceci served as Dance Programming Assistant at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She assisted daily operations and management of resident companies (The Kirov Ballet, The Paris Opera Ballet, The Washington Ballet, Suzanne Farrell Ballet) She also produced and managed dancers and dance companies performing on The Millennium Stage program.
Locally, Ceci has deep roots to art in Fauquier. Beginning in 2000, Ceci trained with the Warrenton Ballet Academy and more recently has choreographed musical theatre numbers for Warrenton Middle School (Guys & Dolls) and Fauquier High School (Urinetown and Once Upon a Mattress). Ceci has worked for Fauquier County Public Schools as a teaching assistant and Spanish teacher, and volunteered art programs at the Fauquier Hospital.
